Maison Margiela / Nighthawk

Film, campaign image & live direction

One visual world across teasers, film, poster artwork, live performance and exhibition. Sasha Kasiuha’s direction connects the moving image to its public life, from the first release to Cinema Le Balzac in Paris and the Artisanal 2024 pop-up exhibition in Tokyo.

[ 01 / TEASERS & FILM ]

The first glimpse. The full world.

The teasers introduce the characters, material and atmosphere of Nighthawk. The film expands that language through the creation of Maison Margiela’s Artisanal 2024 collection, bringing garment, gesture and performance into one cinematic world.

[ 02 / POSTER ARTWORK ]

A film world, held in one image.

Direction for the poster artwork carries the film’s visual language into print and its cinema presentation. Image, title and composition connect the campaign to the work on screen.

[ 03 / LIVE PERFORMANCE ]

The screen opens into the room.

For the Nighthawk presentation at Cinema Le Balzac, film and live performance meet in the same space. Sasha Kasiuha’s role spans shooting and directing the live performance, connecting the performers, camera and projected image.

[ 04 / TOKYO EXHIBITION ]

The same world, at another scale.

The work continues into Maison Margiela’s Artisanal 2024 pop-up exhibition in Tokyo. Moving-image direction extends the characters, garments and material details across the exhibition screens, bringing the visual world into a space visitors can move through.

[ ONE CONNECTED DIRECTION ]

From image to experience.

Teasers establish the first impression. The film develops the story. Poster artwork gives it a public identity. Live performance and exhibition bring that world into the room. Each format changes the scale of the work while retaining its character.
